Writing

For today’s writing I used a sentence starter which has got random ideas!

Sharks belong in the middle of the ocean not in the middle of a Kelly tarltons! Me and my family went to the Kelly tarltons … but then I saw sharks use their TAILS to walk around starting up close on the window to the penguin enclosure!

Everyone ran out screaming “RUN,RUN FOR YOUR LIVES.” But our family thought its was a costume and we stood right next the sharks and my mum had a CONVERSATION with the shark. I was just ignoring hoping it was a dream but of course knowing my luck it wasn't… Then I heard a rumbling and it was the sharks! And startled my sister and cut her finger and blood was dripping and the shark held her finger up to light to see a good look at the nasty cut. GULP and a blood dripped into the shark throat and he went savage, wild.

We just ran and ran then my mum got her purse and WHAM it hit the shark in the face with the purse. And that gave us enough time to get out alive!

Today I learnt

Today I learnt That Popcorn is a special kind of corn. Of all the types of corn, popcorn is the only variety that pops. Inside each kernel of popcorn is a tiny droplet of water surrounded by a hard shell called a hull. As the popcorn is heated, the water turns into steam, which builds pressure inside the kernel.

Today I learnt

Today I learnt It was here in Arabia that coffee seeds were first roasted and brewed, in a similar way to how it is now prepared. By the 16th century, it had reached the rest of the Middle East, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. Coffee seeds were first exported from Ethiopia to Yemen.

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that Noldorin matured into Sindarin. The languages of Men of Middle-earth were many, but most were only alluded to by Tolkien. He developed at least three with a grammar and a vocabulary: Taliska, Adûnaic, and the Soval Pharë ('Common Speech'), called Westron in English, spoken by Hobbits and Men in the Third Age.

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that how many minutes in a YEAR! A common year is 365 days = 8760 hours = 525600 minutes = 31536000 seconds. A leap year is 366 days = 8784 hours = 527040 minutes = 31622400 seconds! Tick,Tock,Tick,Tock x99999999999

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that is a lobster a insected? Lobsters, like insects, belong to the invertebrate phylum Arthropoda. Besides lobsters and insects, spiders and snails belong to this group as well. These animals are closely related because of two main characteristics that they share: they all have an exoskeleton (outer skeleton) and they all have joint appendages.

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that how long can a penguin? The penguins don't leave the nesting areas to feed, some species go through the entire courtship, nesting, and incubation period without food or water. For male king penguins, this period lasts for 55 days. For the male emperor penguin, the fast can last up to 120 days.

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that the typical lightning bolt moves at 224,000 mph -- or about 3,700 miles per second. However, the light you see from the lightning obviously travels at the speed of light, which is roughly 670 million mph, or 186,000 miles per second. ZAP!

Today I learnt

Today I learnt that are panda's bears? Scientists have used DNA to find out that the giant panda is more closely related to the other bears than to the raccoons. Giant pandas are in the family Ursidae with the seven other bear species. Raccoons are in the family Procyonidae, along with ring-tails and coatis.

Writing!!!

It's hard to know what a computer will do when you plug it in during a thunderstorm, so I wondered what would happen (as I was sitting on my bed daydreaming.) BOOM,all of a sudden a thunder struck a few blocks away apparently and it turns out it hit rob's house (my enemy!)

Then I saw my chance and pluged in my brothers computer just in case! BOOM,BOOM,Boom Evenutally it hit a power line causing sparks to fly! ZAP in seconds the computer was roasted. Well then I thought that was anti-climatic, I hoped it would turn into a transformer or something. What would my brother say?!?!

At the split second guess who walked in? My brother and he wasnt happy, he gave me the death stare...Whelp in the end I had to give him MY computer! NO FAIR!

Today I learnt

Today I learnt who invented the hot dog! The hot dog traces its lineage to the 15th-century Viennese sausage, or wienerwurst in German (Not the best name). Johann Georghehner, a butcher from the German city of Coburg, in Bavaria, is credited with inventing the “dachshund” or “little dog” sausage in the 17th century, and brought it to Frankfurt.

reading review

For the my reading review I have chosen to do one for the book "Perky the Pukeko"  This may be a really short review but it will be bigger next time!

Perky the pukeko its about a school has a school trip and have a picnic near a pond. And next ducks, geese and Pukeko, the kids fed the ducks etc. And ate there lunches and left perky realised his chic was missing and chased the bus guessing that was were his chic was. The bus eventually stopped and he saw nothing on the bus so he walked out gloomy and saw a kid eating the rest of his lunch and he lunged at him and hit the boys bag over and look who popped out!

I rate this book ages from 5+ and 4/10! the pictures are good for kids!
