Reading review

In class we had to write a reading review about any book I picked Groovy Gran because it explains about a kid called Billy and his creative grandparent trying to jazz up his life. His family has Him,a older and younger sister and his mum (besides grandparents.)

Billy goes too school and gets bullied and he has to do a participate in a upcoming talent show. And after school he goes to a rest home were his mum works so he can earn his pocket money by helping. His gran had the motto "enjoy your day of fame and success" and liked horror scopes.

Its about his Gran helping him for his talent show by doing a musical act. Its set at the school for the talent show an you can read the rest for the self because its the best part and my favourite because that's what Billy has waited for and put so much effort into for the talent show.

It was a good book I suggest reading it for your self, its not long but its good. I recommend ages 6-12 to read this book.

Today I learnt why  The lego is called lego. Lego Group began in the workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen (born 7 April 1891), a carpenter from Billund, Denmark, who began making wooden toys in 1932. In 1934, his company came to be called "Lego", from the Danish phrase leg godt, which means "play well".

Today i learnt

Today I learnt about Tyche was the goddess of fortune and prosperity of a city in Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Aphrodite and either Zeus or Hermes, although some sources referred to her as an Oceanid, a daughter of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys. She was often depicted in statues wearing a mural crown, which is a crown having the shapes of city walls. She was linked to Nemesis, goddess of retribution, and Agathos Daimon (the good spirit). Tyche appeared on many coins of the Hellenistic period (after the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC).

Today I learnt Greek god edition #8

Today I learnt about Ares was the god of war, and son of Zeus and Hera. He represented the raw violence and untamed acts that occurred in wartime, in contrast to Athena, who was a symbol of tactical strategy and military planning. He was disliked by both his parents. Whenever Ares appeared in a myth, he was depicted as a violent personality, who faced humiliation through his defeats more than once. In the Iliad, it is mentioned that Zeus hated him more than anyone else; Ares was also on the losing side of the Trojan War, favouring the Trojans. He was the lover of his sister, Aphrodite, who was married to Hephaestus. When the latter found out about the affair, he devised a plan and managed to humiliate both of them. The union of Ares and Aphrodite resulted in the birth of eight children, including Eros, god of love.
There were few temples attributed to Ares in Ancient Greece. Sacrifices would usually be made to him when an army would march to war; Spartans would make sacrifices to Enyalius, another lesser god and son of Ares and Enyo. However, the name was also used as a byname for AresWhen Ares went to war, he was followed by his companions, Deimos (terror) and Phobos (fear), who were the product of his union with AphroditeEris, goddess of discord and sister of Deimos and Phobos, often accompanied them in war.

Extra Sport Time

In schools, children are not getting even sport time or getting none. Because there are normally in class learning which is still good. But so e teachers/schools have no gear for sports if we dont give gear or give more sport time it will lead to obesity.

Personally I think schools need at least 10 minutes of sports time besides lunch times to reduce obesity a little bit and when they get sport they use energy and they are more focused on work because they used the energy that they'd use for other stuff in class (not work). And so they live longer life. And as proof go in a class room and  you will see kids barely moving.

Please give more time dedicated to P.E to stop obesity because 27% of NZ adult are obese. LET STOP OBESITY!
